David Pearson is a professional painter and tutor. He was born in the North east of England and his early career was spent as a teacher in boarding schools in the South of England. There is no doubt that David is a highly talented artist and has painted a variety of subjects over the years all to a very high standard. His interest in plants and gardens lead him into the world of botanical painting in which his skill at producing exceptional plant studies has been recognised by the RHS, University of Durham Library and Botanical Sciences Dept. and the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne, amongst others.
His professional experience from the early eighties onwards include a period of cataloguing and teaching at the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle. Artist in Residence, University of Durham Botanic Gardens and Botanical Painter Tutor at The Alnwick Gardens, Northumberland., Langley Garden Station, Hexham, Northumberland and Howescale, Cumbria.
His work is held in collections throughout Britain , Europe, the U.S.A. Japan and Australia.
We have no doubt that his work will attract great interest from, not only botanic art collectors, but all who appreciate the delicate and intricate skill required to produce works of art that are also very decorative and we welcome David to The Wallington Gallery.
