An extremely talented Scottish artist who is still very popular today. This watercolour is of Concarneu, Brittany, a popular holiday destination for British travellers. Here he has concentrated on the fishing boats in the bay.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Robert Weir Allan RSA RWS RSW 1852 - 1942

Robert Weir Allan was born in Glasgow and painted landscape and marine subjects in both oil and watercolour. He toured the Far East in the late 1890s and also painted Continental scenes. Allan was commissioned to paint a portrait of Lloyd George in 1934.
Exhibited: RA, RBA, RHA, RI, ROi, RSA, RSW, RWS.
