ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Morgan Alfred Thornley. ABWS, NSA. (1897-1965)

He was born in Cardiff and was a well known watercolour painter of landscapes in the West country. He studied art at Heatherley's and at the Spenlove School. He exhibited his work at the British Watercolourists Society (BWS) and in the provinces. He was elected as an Associate of the BWS in 1924, and, in the same year, to the NWS. He lived and worked in Chelsea, London.
