John Gregory King. Born 1929. Born at West Tytherley near Salisbury and trained at Cranford and Salisbury School of Art. He was strongly influenced by the work of the sporting artist Lionel Edwards. He was a founder member of The Society of Equestrian Artists and is well known for his his watercolours and oil paintings of hunting, racing and polo scenes. He has received commissions in South Africa, USA, Belgium and France, and his paintings are in private collections around the world.
