Thomas Swift Hutton (1860 - 1935)
Approaching the Tyne

Wonderful watercolour by T S Hutton. A busy scene with a sailing ship approaching the Tyne and a steam ship leaving. The Low and High Lights are clearly visible. A horse and cart on the beach. Even the seagulls on the rocks are beautifully painted.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Thomas Swift Hutton (1860 - 1935)

T.S. Hutton was born in Edinburgh and lived in Wavertree, Liverpool for a while before moving to Northumbria. He exhibited at major galleries throughout the British Isles including the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and the Bewick Club, Newcastle, the Royal Academy and the Royal Scottish Academy. Painted scenes of Northumberland and the North East coast, Yorkshire and Scotland, mainly in watercolours.
