Frank Wasley (1854 - 1934)
Fishing, Marlow on the Thames

This is a truly wonderful watercolour by Wasley of Marlow on the Thames. With All Saints Church shining through the mist in the background. Wasley lived at Henley-on-Thames close to Marlow and it is known he was a keen fisherman. Could this be the artist in the foreground? As 'fresh' as the day it was painted and a perfect example of his style and subject matter.

Watercolour  17" x 22"  Signed. Inscribed verso with location. (frame included in price)
