A wonderful Lake District scene by by this very collectable artist. This painting is not signed however, we are selling this with another of his paintings which could be framed as a pair (Lincolnshire Landscape) which is signed and both paintings are obviously by the same hand. There is a title verso which we believe is in the hand of the artist. (can be puchased as separate items).

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Percy Lancaster 1878 - 1951

Landscape, painter and etcher, born in Manchester. Originally trained as an architect, but turned to art and attended Southport School of Art. Exhibited prolifically, especially RI, RBA, Walker's Galleries and RCamA. Had solo show at Walker's Galleries. Medici Society prints were made of his pictures, which are in public galleries in Manchester, Oldham, Preston and Rochdale. Lived in Southport.
